Book: A Year in High Heels

‘A Year in High Heels’ has now been recommended to me by more than one friend; I think this is a sign that this should be my holiday read of choice. It is written by Camilla Morton, who also wrote ‘How to Walk in High Heels’ (which was described as the ‘how to’ guide for the modern girl, with tips from fashion industry insiders).
‘A Year in High Heels’, will apparently give me a new lust for life, with monthly tips to give me a ‘perfectly co-ordinated combination of culture and challenges’. Each month has a muse, including Matthew Williamson, Dita Von Teese and Christian Lacroix (wouldn’t you just love to get your hands on Camilla’s address book). My friend Alana, who is currently residing in Australia, is loving all the top tips and has been inspired by one in particular which has suggested she writes to people instead of emailing or ‘facebooking’. Anything that encourages human contact in a digital world is exciting and I will make sure to pick up my copy of ‘A Year in High Heels’ before I jet off this Friday (to Greece not – unfortunately – Australia).
