Hedi Slimane’s fashion film for ‘The Corner’

Above are stills from Hedi Slimane’s fashion film, ‘I LOVE USA’ commissioned for clothing website The Corner – an online hotspot where you can shop for seriously cool brands, (Acne, Anne Demeulemeester, Gareth Pugh, Raf Simons etc) as well as discovering up and coming designers.
Each brand has it’s own ‘mini store’ which can be curated by the individual labels via their collections, editorial content and video uploads. This short film from designer Hedi Slimane (founder of Dior Homme) portrays a teen wolf and an all-American cheerleader – representing Slimane’s vision of idealised American culture. This is the second fashion film installation to be featured on The Corner’s home page. The first, last year, was ‘Portent’ – a collaboration with ShowStudio.com and Nick Knight.

Bit strange this one, but I love a fashion film. It's the way the whole industry is moving – great for the economy over massive catwalk productions x
