Givenchy press day at Cocoon
Givenchy held their press day yesterday for the new make up range and launch of their new fragrance PLAY for women. The perfume comes in Eau de Parfum and Eau de Parfum intense (my personal favourite).
The campaign is fronted by Justin Timberlake. The TV advert sees him running up the Eiffel tower with an impossibly beautiful model. The tower was closed for two nights for filming and the visual effect is truly stunning. The perfume itself is warm and woody with floral tones. I can’t wait for it to launch, which will hopefully be this July.
The make up range for next season is called ‘Blooming’. It is inspired by artist Takagi Masakatsu (CLICK HERE to visit www.takagimasakatsu.com), whose video installation work is swirling and gorgeous (see below image)
The must-have products:
The beautiful packaging is inspired by the blossom petals
Le Prism Visage Blooming [seen above] (£32.50) Limited Edition; consists of four peachy shades randomly blended and comes in Pinks for paler complexions and Apricots for darker skins. All of these products come with an ingenious pull out tray with mini applicators.
Rouge Interdit Shine [seen above in Blooming Apricot] (£18.50) lipstick is simply light, orangey pink shimmering with gold particles – will look luscious with a post-summer tan.
Le Prisme Yeux Quatuor [seen above in Midnight Look] (£33) eyeshadows are perfect for a complete eye look – from top left clockwise, they can be used as 1. liner/Intense shadow 2. Shadow 3. Highlighter 4. Unifier. Also available in 5 other colour ways, this one is ideal for evening wear and smokey eyes.
This is my favourite product – Le Prisme Blush Blooming [seen above] (£29.50). The blush looks and smells like flowers in bloom! Very pretty.
The lovely Givenchy girls were giving brilliant demonstrations of all the products and I can’t wait to start using mine. The range will preview in Harrods from August 2010 and will be available nationwide from September 2010. Telephone 01932 233 824 for stockists.
Yum yum yum!
