There seems to be an ever decreasing circle of designers I can say I truly love; but I do truly LOVE Roksanda Ilincic. Her new collection of ten cocktail dresses (inspired by the 50s – think Mad Men – and named after poisonous flowers) for Whistles has been launched today. I love the contrast of draped silk against chunky belts and tough zips. Click here to read the Metro’s report – whom I thank for bringing this to my attention, but was sad to see they spelt her name incorrectly in the header! In the wake of so many slightly disappointing designer collaborations (yes, H&M/Lanvin) this is a breath of quality fresh air.

I love these designs as much as I loved the swimwear collection…they're very feminine. I agree the draping is gorgeous.
Hi Gill, yes they are beautiful aren't they? I love the 50s inspired cut, so much more flattering than skinny everything! xx
