Häagen-Dazs has launched a limited edition ‘Little Gardens’ duo of floral-inspired flavours. The full-size pots are available at Liberty department store in London (near Oxford Circus) for just a few weeks. The two new flavours are Lychee Raspberry Rose, and Apricot Lavender.
Which flavour would you prefer?
The pretty pink Häagen-Dazs Lychee Raspberry Rose, is lightly scented and has the trademark creamy consistency that the brand prides itself on, and is well-loved for. This was my favourite flavour, because anything with a light rose flavour always wins me over. And the balance of this, with the heavier cream, and the refreshing lychee is delicious.
Häagen-Dazs Apricot Lavender is also mouthwatering, and combines floral and fruity notes with real apricot pieces, sourced from Morocco.
Both flavours are made with a base of cream, milk, sugar and free-range eggs. So, all the good stuff, then!
The tubs have been designed by a team of botanical artists from Paris, Jardin de Babylone. The elegant decoration is a perfect fit to be sold at Liberty – my favourite department store, with it’s designer wares poised against exposed beams, wooden staircases and lofty ceilings.
The Häagen-Dazs launch party at Liberty
To celebrate the ice cream launch, Häagen-Dazs has taken over two Liberty store windows, (one seen at the top of this article), which feature floral installations by designer Rebecca Louise Law.
The Häagen-Dazs Little Gardens range is available exclusively at Liberty London (Regent Street, W1B 5AH) from the 11th of April, for a limited period. We asked if these flavours would be rolled out nationwide… It wasn’t a definite ‘no’, but if you can get yourself down to Liberty in the next couple of weeks, I’d suggest you do so! The pots cost £5.95 each.
Häagen-Dazs is encouraging you to share your ice cream pictures on social media, using the hashtag #floralornothing
