New season, new wardrobe for baby? Time to start making a list! Because there is a whole world of adorable and affordable spoils waiting for parents and excited parents-to-be at Mothercare. I’ve known for quite a while what treasures lie within, so am excited to share these photos that I took at its autumn winter 2016 press preview show…
In an age where Instagram reigns supreme and the trend of the time is to ‘discover’ new brands (which I totally support, too, but not to the complete exclusion of the mainstream, when they are as good as this…) – the gems of our British high street (Marks & Spencer, I’m also thinking of you, here) can get a little overlooked. But, look here, because for quality, and cool silhouettes and prints at really affordable prices, you won’t go far wrong by shopping at Mothercare, which also has a brilliant online offering. Here are my AW16 highlights, which will be available from around July onwards…
– Monochrome jumpsuit from Myleene Klass’ newly titled range ‘MyK’ – This range will replace Myleene’s BabyK range starting from the autumn, with this monochrome-themed collection being the first
– Monochrome T-shirt and pinafore dress by MyK
– Striking soldier print jumper top from the Little Bird by Jools Oliver collection at Mothercare
– Pincord pinafore dress from the Little Bird by Jools Oliver collection at Mothercare. Pinafore styles are so popular for the winter 2016 season
– How cute? Peter Pan collar coupled with an A-line dress and Russian doll detail, from the Little Bird by Jools Oliver collection at Mothercare
– A hint of Christmas… A ‘little sprout’ onesie – definitely one for my list!
– I love the Heritage collection at Mothercare. How classic is this grey dress? Smocking, just like I used to have on my dresses when I was this small
– A sweet two-piece set from the Heritage collection at Mothercare
– A onesie and a blanket – the combination of yellow and grey isn’t going anywhere…
– Oh yes, the Peter Rabbit collection is back for another season at Mothercare, and I for one am delighted! I think the illustrations have been handled beautifully. Lots of collaborations tend to come off a little cheap, but the grey palette used here is really elegant.
– More Peter Rabbit at Mothercare loveliness
– Mini me matching fashion – Blooming Marvellous maternity dress, and mainline girlswear
– Let’s hear it for the boys! Patches are really on trend for next season and Mothercare have it nailed
– Neon and monsters – what a perfect combination for PJs
– The force is strong, here. Loving the range of Star Wars slip-on shoes…
– … And don’t forget about the brilliant range of nursery furniture at Mothercare. Grey and white are the overriding colour palette, which will let your interior accessories do all the talking.
