Did you know… Morrisons supermarkets does a brilliant clothing range for kids? Fall 2016 highlights [PREVIEW]

…Here, I have selected my top choices from the autumn winter 2016 Nutmeg‘ at Morrisons collection.

Nutmeg sells baby 3-piece sets from around £6, T-shirts from £2.50 and dresses from around a fiver and there are collections for babies, and boys and girls up to age 13. The aim for Nutmeg, is to be available in all of Morrisons‘ stores by the end of this year. The pictures, here, are from the autumn winter 2016 collection, but there are spring summer pieces available in stores, now.

I asked Nutmeg‘s head designer, Claire Cave, if she thought it would be online anytime soon, and the answer was uncertain. But, it is great news about the all-store rollout, plus, she did mention that there would be a full women’s collection towards the end of this, start of next year. Good news for us Nutmeg fans who have been asking for certain styles in bigger sizes for a while! It is great to hear that a company, like Morrisons, really believes in it’s design team’s vision. There has been a few drops of adult T-shirts and nighttime onesies in the past, but here’s hoping for some of the gorgeous dresses to be sized up.

How cool would these older girls’ shorts be for grown ups?

If you are unfamiliar with the range, Nutmeg is sold in select Morrisons supermarket stores. It is way more than a basics range, (although not every store has everything) with an array of outfits and single pieces for children of all ages. Don’t be fooled by the small prices, I have always found the quality to be ace, and the attention to thoughtful details is fantastic; such as, no scratchy labels – printed labels only, jersey soft denim on babywear, and cute prints over everything.

I also like that although there is a small amount of pink and blue, most things are from a really bright, bold and cool, trend led colour palette. For autumn winter, there are loads of oranges, rusts, blues and burgundy… cosy! I seem to have picked out most of the ‘boys’ and baby items as my favourites, but I think lots of these could be worn by both boys and girls.

Don’t miss more kids’ fashion…

The Nutmeg and Cirkle PR teams did a wonderful job of setting up the event and created an autumnal feel with trees to hang the clothes from. The decorative wig wams were set up for children attending the event later in the day, and there was a whole host of farmyard animals for us to pet inbetween looking at the collection.
