 [Easy, breezy beachy waves…]

For anyone who strives for the easy life (so, that’s everyone then), the trends for this Spring 2016 are where effortless means exactly that. The colour palette on offer this season sees a beautiful blend of pastels and tropical brights. Sorbet peaches with vibrant orangey reds, cobalt and powder blue, all mixed with neutral tones of mustard yellow, rose quartz and rich chocolate brown’s to reign them in.
Clockwise from top left:
1 – OPI New Orleans Collection in ‘Crawfishin’ for a compliment’, £12.50,
2 – Khaki sateen bomber jacket, £29.99,
3 – Pure cotton broiderie Bardot top, £29.50,
4 – Mini tan suede backpack, £35,
The best outfits are the ones that look as comfy as they feel. For a simple chic look this spring, team together ripped jeans, with either a white T-shirt or blouse, or the ever popular Breton top: an off-the-shoulder version is bang on trend. Accessorise with a tan handbag or rucksack, white trainers or box-heel sandals. A bomber jacket is the perfect cover up for this time of year.
Clockwise from top left:
1 – bareSkin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer, £22,
2 – bareSkin Sheer Sun Serum Bronzer, £25,
3 – Urban Decay eyeshadow shimmer in Radium, £14,
4 – Dior Addict Fluid stick in Metamorphorse, £26.50,

Keep your make-up looking fresh and spring-like with dewy skin and a pop of colour. Don’t layer on the foundation, instead opt for a tinted moisturiser and concealer for added cover up, and use a shimmering bronzer to provide a natural warm glow. Focus on either eyes or lips by adding a flush of colour with a bright lip stain, or a wash of blue or green eyeshadow across the eyelids teamed with eyeliner and lots of mascara for definition.

The hairstyles on trend this season work mostly better with day old hair, but spray in some dry shampoo if you feel your roots might be a bit too greasy. Box tail plaits are perfect for daytime, and sophisticated enough to wear on a night out. Sleep in them, and the next day you’ll be rocking effortless bedhead waves. For a real quick hair fix tie half up in a top knot, a style that often looks better the messier it is. If you’re feeling really brave you could follow this spring’s popular new hair colour trend of Antique Rose, a soft pink with a hint of rose gold!
