I’m so pregnant.

Hello, please can I have your seat?
Bump tray
Netflix and Sky box sets are being lined up – recommendations welcomed! Because I reckon this big baby butt will be spending much of the next few weeks (months?!) resigned to the sofa. I hope I will also be getting out of the house loads because it will be spring and then summer. But I do want to breastfeed and I know that can mean sofa time while you get into a rhythm with it. For now, I just want to record exactly how pregnant I am/feel = VERY! Look, my tummy has turned into a proper tray, that holds tea, catches crumbs and everything! I love my baby bump and have so enjoyed watching her grow, but I do feel very ready to not be pregnant now. And I have a sneaking suspicion/hope that she will arrive early…
Only one more real week of maternity leave sans baby after this one. Will I make the most of it? How can you, really, apart from doing nothing, which is the opposite of what I will be doing when she is here, eating, sleeping and pooping on repeat.
Newness
The latest issue of Gurgle arrived – how weird to get in in the post and not pick it up in the office?! Being on maternity leave will take a lot of getting used to for many many reasons! As a side note, I do so love print magazines. Having something tactile to flick through, and also seeing your hard work printed on paper, is so satisfying.
And talking of ‘new’ I have started summer shopping, because I am bored of maternity clothes now and I love shopping for things at the start of a season, when no one else has caught on yet. You get the whole range of sizes and styles available.
Accessorize purchases for out first family holiday. Shirt is to tie over shapewear swimsuit – I doubt I’ll be brave enough to flaunt my stomach just a couple of months after giving birth, but, we’ll see…
SaltWater sandals in Rose gold – the holy grail! I finally FINALLY managed to get myself a pair – aren’t they just so pretty?
And a few bits for the baby, because I am obsessed and I can’t stop. The above Maison Labiche baby grow was actually gifted from the lovely Jenny at Alex and Alexa, but the Matalan swimwear below, was my own greedy buying. But how sweet will the baby look in both? The striped one shows my sophisticated side and the unicorn one is my inner child busting out to play.
* I must prelude anything I write in this blog series as totally my own experiences and opinions. I’ve already learned to prefix everything I say in general conversation about pregnancy and babies with, ‘everyone’s different, but…’

INSIDE MY BABY BRAIN…
THINGS I AM LOVING, THIS WEEK
- Easter eggs! Oh what a time to be pregnant! And Terry’s Chocolate Orange easter eggs reduced to £2? Full size? Oh, what a time to be alive!!
- Our Shnuggle bath! The thing that has finally made it feel ‘real’ for me: that we are going to be washing up our very own baby in this very small tub. Cute.
- Anything sour lemon – the obsession continues. I love San Pellegrino cans and this lemon drink from Caffe Concerto, even though it is totally overpriced.
- Bump and I were on ITV’s ‘The Mummy Diaries‘, as I was interviewing Samantha Faiers about her new collection with My Babiie.
